Behold, I've tasted the first day of Spring

in all its glory!

A fragrant bouquet of sound,

taste of sight and sound,

The scent of the earth,

the blossoms of trees make way,

behold! behold!

My senses have fasted,

starving from a diet of gray,

Make way for the sav'ring of senses

renewed to crave the richness of this meal,

tasting green in every place,

holding close the sun warmed air a

nd smell the song of the trees.

Awaken, awaken, my spirit,

awaken my heart, awaken, my soul, and sing,

I love Spring!
