You must agree to this Terms and Conditions Policy before downloading, ordering or purchasing any content on this website or any content published by Alliance Publications, Inc. Please note especially our Copyright and Conditions of Use statement.

 

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

If you are dissatisfied with your order, for any reason, you may return the items(s) within 12 days of the date on your receipt for a full refund of the purchase price.  We will also refund shipping costs if the return is due to our error or the product is defective. Purchases will be refunded in the same method of payment and within 10 days of the receipt of the item(s) returned. That is, credit card purchases will be refunded on your credit card. Check purchases will be refunded by check. PayPal will be refunded to your PayPal account. 

 

Deliveries

We will endeavor to ship all orders within two (2) days of receipt and release of funds. If the item is not in stock, you will be advised by email and given an estimated date of shipment.

If you need delivery by a certain date, please select the appropriate shipping method and note this clearly on your order.  We will do our best to oblige. No guarantee, however, can be given by Alliance Publications, Inc. for delivery on or by a specified date. Any reference to a delivery date is for guidance only.

 

Returns and Cancelations

Returned items must be in original condition. Include a copy of your packing invoice and mail to:

If you are returning a purchase, you must notify us within five (5) days of the receipt of your item(s) either by email or phone.

If you are canceling an order that has not yet been shipped you must phone or email Alliance Publications, Inc. Unfortunately, notification of returns or cancelation by leaving a message on our phone answering system will not be considered as proper notification.

If the return is due to a defect or error, describe the defect or error in writing on the packing invoice included with the return so we can approve a shipping charge refund. Otherwise, you will be responsible for the cost of returning items. Handling charges will be refunded if the defect or error is ours.

Standard return rules apply if you wish to return all copies of the item you ordered. If you would like to return a portion of the copies, you must keep at least six (6) copies.

Recorded media (i.e., video-audio recordings, CDs, DVDs) can only be returned if the manufacturer-sealed plastic shrink-wrap is unopened. 

Ownership of Copyright

Alliance Publications, Inc. and its composers own the Copyright © for all products (i.e., sheet music, audio-video recordings) displayed on this site. 

 

Copyright License

Alliance Publications, Inc. grants you a non-exclusive royalty-free license to view and print one watermarked copy of music from this website on your computer for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, adapt, edit, rearrange, publish, distribute, broadcast, or perform in public any music purchased from Alliance Publication, Inc. without our prior, written permission. Remember, it is illegal to photocopy music or to make it available to others who might wish to make copies. To photocopy is to steal from the composer/author and the publisher.

 

Fair Use

Copyright Law (U.S. Code, Title 17, Section 107) grants Fair Use of copyrighted work to students, faculty, and librarians for purposes such as criticism, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research. Additional guidelines and The United States Copyright Law: A Guideline for Music Educators permit multiple copies for spontaneous classroom use only, but not for public performance. Multiple copies for classroom use may not exceed one copy per student per course. All copies must include an appropriate copyright warning notice. These copies must be destroyed after use.

Fair use does not apply to church music directors. Fair Use does not apply if a copyrighted work is intended to be consumed in the course of a class assignment (i.e., included in course syllabi, workbooks, text books, musical exercises, demonstrations). Violation of the copyright law is criminal activity.

 

Spontaneous

 A spontaneous decision occurs when the sudden inspiration and decision to use the work and the moment of its use for maximum teaching effectiveness are so close in time that it would be unreasonable to expect a timely reply to a request for permission. The copying of the work may be used for only one course in the school in which the copies are made. This work may not be used from term to term by the same teacher for the same course.

Permissions

You may obtain permission to copy or use the copyrighted music you purchase on this website. Permission is also required for public performances, and for the use of words and refrains for worship services and programs. Enforcement of Copyright

Alliance Publications, Inc. takes the protection of its copyright very seriously.  If Alliance Publications, Inc. discovers that you have used its copyrighted materials in contravention of the license and permissions noted above, Alliance Publications, Inc. may bring legal proceedings against you seeking monetary damages and an injunction to stop you using those materials. You could also be ordered to pay legal costs.

 

Infringement

If you become aware of any use of Alliance Publications, Inc., that contravenes or may contravene the license above, please report this by email to api@apimusic.org  or by post to the address given above.

Likewise, if you become aware of any material on the website or purchased from Alliance Publications, Inc. that you think infringes your or any other person’s copyright, please report this to us by email or post.

 

Downloads

A “download” refers to an audio file or pdf file which can be downloaded to your computer through this website. If you purchase a download, it will be available to you in your account for 72 hours.http://www.apimusic.org/terms-and-conditions.html
