MARTIN, PHIL

Composer Phil Martin is a Professor of Theatre at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. His expertise includes theatre History and Musical History. He teaches Theatre History, Introduction to Film, Literature and Drama, Musical Theatre History and Musical Theatre Performance. Phil Martin has a Ph.D. and a M.F.A. from the University of Utah and a B.A. from Colorado State University.
 
He started teaching in 1985 at Middle Tennessee State University and came to Edgewood in 1995. Phil is a member of the Theatre Guild of America and ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).
 
As a published songwriter and playwright, his works include The Wisconsin Story for the sesquicentennial of Wisconsin and Songs of the Orphan Train Riders. His most recent project is Fatherhood: the Musical.
